80+ Vision Board Questions To Help Create The Perfect Vision Board (Adults, Kids, Couples + Parents)
Have you ever wanted to create your own vision board but weren’t sure how to go about it? Or perhaps you’re looking for some vision board ideas and inspiration to get started?
One of the best ways to start planning what to put on your vision board is by asking yourself these vision board questions that can help you gain clarity on what you want your life to look like, what you want to manifest (make a reality) in your life, and what goals you want to achieve.
What Is A Vision Board?
A vision board, or a dream board, is a collection of images, words, and phrases that represent what you hope to achieve or become in the future. It can be a great way to stay motivated and focused on achieving your goals and creating your dream life.
Your vision board is a powerful tool and a visual representation of your goals, desires, and dreams, and works on the rules of the law of attraction whereby what you focus on is what you draw into your life.
Vision boarding is a creative way to focus on your important goals, and is a great place to outline your big dreams, as well as bring focus to any area of your life you want to improve or work on.
The point of a vision board is to bring up positive emotions and seeing your vision board on a daily basis, triggers a neurological response in your brain in the reticular activating system.
We’ve all experienced this before, when you are looking to buy a new car or go on a vacation somewhere, and all of a sudden you see that type of car everywhere or see ads and promotions for your vacation destination. This is your reticular activating system at work.
This is because your subconscious mind is paying more attention to the things it is getting more information on.
The great thing is that this can work to help you create your perfect life too!
What you focus on, what you put on your vision board, your brain is going to subconsciously make decisions to find and bring to your attention.
Different Types Of Vision Boards
While some people prefer to have one main vision board, you can create a different type of vision board for different areas of your life if you’d prefer to keep your goal setting separate, or if you’d prefer to have a different vision board for each specific goal.
You can create a family vision board, a career vision board, a personal development vision board, or any other kind you’d like.
There are also different ways you can create your vision board including:
Physical Vision Board
This is the more traditional and by far the most popular version of a vision board (and my favorite).
You can grab a cork board or piece of poster board and allow your creativity to shine.
Grab vision board supplies like magazine clippings, photos of inspiration (you can find free photos on sites like Unsplash or Pexels) your own photo or collection of photos, a picture of your favorite quote or affirmations, and of course a few glue sticks and start creating!
You can even have a vision board party with your friends at the beginning of the year and then get together again at the end of the year and see how far you’ve come.
Digital Vision Board
A digital vision board is similar to a physical vision board, but it’s created using online programs like Canva or Photoshop.
It can be a great idea to use a vision board template if you’re not sure where to start or come up with your own.
Include things like positive affirmations and visual embellishments then save your vision board as your screensaver or print and frame it to display in your home.
Virtual Vision Board
This is probably my least favorite method of creating a vision board as it doesn’t really allow you to see your vision board on a regular basis unless you go out of your way to look at it.
Some like to create their virtual vision board using sites like Pinterest to curate a collection of images that inspire and motivate them.
You can easily create a Pinterest board for each area of life or individual goal you want to focus on.
Personally, I am a big believer in using your vision board as a manifestation tool and have been using them for a long time – the most powerful way to focus on a long-term goal is to have it in front of you every day as a reminder of what you’re working toward.
To do this, you need to have your vision board somewhere you see it – even if you’re not really paying attention to it.
Key Takeaways – Types Of Vision Boards
Physical Vision Board – traditional collage-style board with an array of mediums (words, photos, images etc).
Digital Vision Board – similar to traditional however is created on an online program like Canva.
Virtual Vision Board – a virtual collection of vision board inspiration (for example a Pinterest Board).
